Pravin Banker
Balkan Advisory Company has an association agreement with Mr. Pravin Banker, a principal of Financial Network Inc., for joint investment banking and corporate finance advisory activities in the BAC’s countries of operation.

Mr Banker is a Director of Financial Network, a boutique investment bank and financial advisor with wide experience in global capital markets. He specializes in the emerging countries of Latin America, Russia /CIS/ Central Europe, Asia South, and Southeast Asia, serving a worldwide roster of clients including a number of emerging country governmental agencies and central banks.

Mr Banker's initial contact with global capital markets and the emerging countries was at IBM World Trade Corporation, where he was responsible for directing the Treasury and Financial Operations of 43 of the IBM World Trade subsidiaries in Latin America, Asia South and the Far East. He served as a Senior International Treasury Consultant to the IBM Corporate Treasurer, sheltering IBM operations through the effects of the Mexico debt crisis of 1982/1983. For over 12 years he has provided advice and effected transactions in these markets for a number of major multinational corporations and international banks. These include Banco Nacional and Banco Itau of Brasil; Banamex and Vitro in Mexico; Mellon Bank, Fleet Bank, Bank of America, Eli Lilly, Ralston, Kraft, General Motors, and the OPIC supported NCH Capital in the USA; Societe Generale Bank in France, Supreme Industries, Essar Group, and the Kothari Group of India; the Doverie Group and Darik Radio in Bulgaria, Venepal in Venezuela, Union Miniere in Belgium, and a number of Emerging Country Central Banks such as the Banco Centrales do Venezuela, Guatemala and Paraguay, and the Central Banks of Nigeria,Yugoslavia, and India.

Mr Banker holds a Masters degree from Columbia University in New York. He has written numerous articles on international and emerging country markets for several publications, including the Harvard Business Review, has lectured at university forums, and publishes the daily emerging country commentary LDC Bond Watch.

Todor Velev
Balkan Advisory Company has an association agreement with Todor Velev, Managing Director of Eastern Europe Investment Network for providing transaction advisory services to Western companies.

Mr. Velev is the founder of Eastern Europe Investment Network and has more than 10 years in consulting with A.T.Kearney, Mitchell Madison Group and KPMG Barents Group. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School and specialised in Corporate Finance at Nottingham Trent University. With accumulated experience of more than 20 transactions closed, Mr. Velev has advised companies on their investments throughout Latin America and Eastern Europe, and governments on their cash and mass privatisation programmes. His core competences are strategy definition, commercial due diligence, business valuation, transaction structuring and negotiations. Speaks fluent English, Spanish and Bulgarian and moderate Russian

The principal focus of activity of Eastern Europe Investment Network is buy-side advisory work in Eastern Europe. It has partners in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia to identify investment opportunities and facilitate the market entry in the region.
